NOTE:

This is my first design of a 3D printed RC plane using LW-PLA in vase mode. The model is quite complex and does not include features to make assembly easier, which can be tedious.

I was hesitant to release this model because it's not fully developed yet. But, since many people have requested it, I've decided to release it anyway.

However, please note that there will be no assembly guide provided with this model.

However, you may interest in the newly design SUB250 flying wings – Breeze Model X.

A much more user-oriented design.

----------------------------------------------

Printed with Bambu PLA-AERO, see it flying in the official ad video in the product page: https://store.bambulab.com/products/pla-aero

Wingspan: 1M

Wing load: 15-18g/dm^2

Flight Weight: ~220g [with 1106 4300kv motor and 7.4V 500mah battery]

Rudder and Elevator are pull-string-springs controlled.

The ailerons are very thin and are printed as part of the wing. You'll need to separate them by cutting along the designated lines with a knife. There are slots on both sides where you can insert a piece of TPU or PETG that is 0.8mm thick. These pieces should be secured with CA glue for the linkage

For the body and wings, just glue them together one by one using CA glue. There's no need to align any hinges.

Please see photos for CG and more assembly references. Also, remember to use Bambu Studio's assembly view to find the correct locations for the parts.

Print both profiles.

Despite its design challenges, the plane flies very well. Its light wing load allows it to fly slowly. With the wing foil used in DLG (Discus Launch Gliders), it can also fly fast. When it catches a thermal, it floats like a bird.

I understand that the current design isn't perfect, but I've learned a lot from it and they are improving my future designs.

More models are on the way in the coming weeks.

Please follow me, and I'll keep you updated when they're released.
