Description

Raspberry Pi Zero 2WH with e-Paper HAT+ Snap-Fit Case – Vertical Slide-In | TPU Bumpers

This case was modeled for fun and as a print orientation experiment, designed to house the Raspberry Pi Zero 2WH with a Waveshare 2.13” e-Paper HAT+ in a clean, functional, and symmetrical shell.

Model Overview – 5 Parts:

  • Main body (printed vertically):

     • Holds the Pi + e-Paper HAT in place via a slide-in slot

     • Oriented for a 45° overhang stopper to align USB & HDMI ports (Do not change orientation)

     • Extra interior space adds symmetry but has no technical function

  • Top and bottom lids:

     • Snap-fit design to enclose the case and allow airflow

  • Two TPU bumpers:

     • Help secure the lids in place

     • Designed with tight tolerances for TPU only (not guaranteed to work in PLA/PETG)

Assembly:

  • Entirely snap-fit – no screws or glue
  • TPU bumpers stretch slightly to lock the case securely
  • Insert Pi and display from the top; leads snap on; bumpers press into side slots

Print Notes:

  • Material: PLA (for main parts), TPU (for bumpers)
  • Print by object: Set up for multi-color printing
  • TPU parts are on a separate plate – plate settings tuned for high-temp bed
  • Layer height: 0.2mm
  • Nozzle: 0.4mm
  • Walls: 2 loops
  • Top/Bottom layers: 3
  • No supports needed

Fun Build, Clean Look:

This model prioritizes clean aesthetics and print experimentation. Great for learning about tight tolerances, vertical printing, and mixed-material assembly.

P.S. I've also added a STEP file with this case to allow easy modifications.
