Description

Description

Hi everyone. This is an insert for the boardgame ARCS from Leder Games. I wanted an insert for the base game and the leaders & lore expansion that had space for sleeved cards and for printed 3d buildings.

For the buildings, I myself used these excellent models from Major93 (scaled to 97% because the base was a bit large) but you can use any 3d buildings as long as the base is not bigger than the normal cardboard tokens and the height not more than 20mm. I also had space for one extra filler tray that happened to perfectly fit 4 of the foldable card holder from overbait but you could use it for any other accessories you might have or for rolling dice during gameplay.

The player trays are also compatible with miniatures for the ships and agents (if you prefer those instead of the wooden pieces). I tested with these great models from Pieter (they have unfortunately been removed from the website).

Update 18.01.2026:

Arcs Tray Variants V2.1: I added a player tray without space for miniatures for anyone that prefers to play with just the cardboard tokens.

Update 09.07.2025:

Arcs Tray Variants V2:If you prefer a player tray with bigger wells and/or no space for the redundant cardboard pieces, I added one to the variants profile:

Summary of the design:

  • Language neutral.
  • Compatible with outer box size: 22.5 x 29.0 x 7.0 cm
  • Compatible with leaders & lore.
  • Compatible with premium sleeves.
  • Compatible with 3d buildings (max height 20mm).
  • Compatible with miniatures for ships and agents.
  • Supports vertical storage (although some buildings might shift a bit if the ones you use don't fill the vertical space well).
  • Engravings to easily identify where each card type and token goes during cleanup.
  • Space for cardboard building tokens on player trays.
  • Finger space to pull setup tray out.

About the print profile:

  • Tested for PLA on P1S 0.4 nozzle and 0.2mm layer height.
  • prepared for optional multi color print with AMS.
  • Support needed for setup tray.

Variants profile:

I will add any variants of the main trays as I create them.

Existing variants:

  1. Setup Tray for A1-Mini
  2. Player tray with bigger wells and without space for redundant cardboard tokens
  3. Player tray without space for miniatures

Instructions for assembly:

Add setup tray and player trays on the bottom layer (first and second layers can actually be interchanged).
Add other trays on second layer as portrayed (first and second layers can actually be interchanged).
Add main board.
Add player boards in 2 groups.
Add player help booklets and rulebook.
There should be no lid lift.
