Description
Inspired by the legendary Shure 55 (“Elvis Mic”), this stylized vintage microphone is a nostalgic design piece, perfect as a keychain, studio prop, or mini decor. Scalable to any size, it prints easily and shines with metallic or silk filaments.
🛠️ Assembly Tips:
Want to make it look even more realistic? Here’s how to bring it to life:
- 🧵 Insert a piece of black fabric (like cotton or felt) or black tulle between the two halves to mimic the internal mesh effect of a real microphone.
- ⚫️ Alternative: Print a small black ball or short cylinder and place it inside the mic body before assembly — simple and effective!
- 🔒 The two parts are designed to snap together, but for long-lasting results, use a drop of cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) at the joint.
- 🪢 Add a braided cord for the keychain loop – and seal the end using a lighter to prevent fraying and lock it in place.
Small details, huge impact!
