Description

These are all the pieces I've made for the Champions of Midgard Board game, they're meant to replace all the cardboard and wooden components that come in the game. They replace the Boats, First Player Marker, Round Tracker, Player Meeples, Player Point Tracker and Player Color Reminder discs, Coins, Blame Tokens, Favor Tokens, Damage Tokens, Wood Cubes, Food Cubes and all the Sacrifice Tokens for all the dice including the expansion.

THE PRINT PROFILE HAS ALL THE PIECES NEEDED FOR THE BASE GAME PLUS TWO EXPANSIONS, YOU'LL NEED TO REMOVE SOME PIECES FROM SOME PLATES IF YOU ONLY WANT PIECES FOR THE BASE GAME, I specified how many pieces to remove from which plates in the name of the plates in the print profile. Example: the plate with all the boats has the boat that has a capacity of 4, that boat is only used for 5 players if you have the dark mountains expansion.

About the Pieces:

I designed these when I didn't have a multi color printer so most of the pieces are in pieces to print in multiple colors and then glue, or so that they only require color swaps at a layer, and the ones that do require color swaps at layers I tried to minimize the amount of color swaps because I did these manually before in PrusaSlicer but I don't know how to do this in Bambustudio.

Boats: The Boats have all the information that comes in the Cardboard tiles so there's no need to keep using the tiles, the Masts and Sails of the boats are removable for easier storage and the sails can be printed one in each player color so when a player buys a boat they can place the sail of their color on them, also remember to print two in a diferent color to use on the public boats, so if you print one in each player color give a sail of their color to each player at the start of the game.

Coins: I designed the coins originally to be printed flat on the print bed but I have since found a way to print them in a way that gives a result that I like a lot more using custom resin supports but for FDM so I included in the file two diferent plates, one to print them using the custom supports I added and one flat on the bed, it is a lot faster printing them flat and it saves material too but like I said, I like the look of the supported coins better, the supports come off easily but they leave a bit of material on the coin that needs to be removed with some flush cutters.

Damage Tokens: I made two different Damage tokens so you can choose which one you want, at first I made the Drop of blood which is what the token from the game is but I had the idea to make an axe to place on top of the cards and while it came out great and I love how it looks its also more fragile and you need to be careful removing the custom supports to not break it, also I'm afraid it might break if you throw it in the box with everything else, so choose which one you want or print both and use the drops of blood if one of the axes breaks.

Assembly Instructions:

Some of the pieces require gluing parts together so heres some help:

The Boats: the boats only require for you to glue the shields to the side of them, 3 in each side, theres flat spots on the sides of the boats for this, do not glue the mast and sail to the boat.

The Throne: the First Player Marker Throne can be used as is but I think it looks better with the cushions glued on like in this image, the cushions are printed on the same plate as the drops of blood.

The Hourglass: I made it in two equal pieces, you have to glue one on top of the other, i recomend lining up the seams so they only show on one side, it's also meant to be printed with transparent filament for the glass, thats why its hollow.

Viking Workers: They're split in multiple pieces, I printed every viking with the same skin tone and beard color but it could be changed if you want and have the colors to do so, heres an animation showing how they're assembled.

Score Tracker Helmet: the sides have a connector so that you don't place them incorrectly and they don't slide off center while gluing them, after gluing the sides the base glue the Horns in the holes on the sides so that they're pointing up, I made the hole not round so theres no mistake and both horns point in the same direction.

That's it, I hope you like the pieces and enjoy playing with them, it took me a long time to make them, follow me if you're interested in more pieces for board games like these ones, check out my other models in case you're reading this in the future and I have more projects uploaded, and if you want to support me consider boosting me, it's free and it helps me a lot.
