Thanks for the Boost! Comment below what I should try to make next!
Classic Arcade Push Button
My first attempt at a print-in-place button that can hopefully be apart of a bigger project.
Just a proof of concept thing to see if I could 3D print a spring push button, so for now it's a fidget toy!
It Kinda Works!

The Classic Arcade Push Button Concept
My goals were:
- ✅ Print in place button (spring mechanism of some type - used a coil spring)
- ✅ Could be used to push an actual button (ex. connected to a circuit board like Arduino/Raspberry Pi)
- ✅ Parametric so other people can use it in their projects
- ✅ No supports
Button V1 Issues
- Doesn't really centre up after initial press
- Slight drop after the first press (probably from the shape of the coil spring)
- Doesn't click (more like rubs the side)
- I don't know if actual arcade buttons make a click noise but I would like this one too
- Not really a great fidget toy if I can't press while on the table
- Probably will try a different type of spring mechanism for the next version
Let Me Know What You Think!
I'll still be trying to adjust the button design but thought I might as well share the progress of the designs so if you can help me come up with solutions for the above problems that would be super helpful!
Thanks and happy printing!
