I wanted a filament clip that is easy to print and works. Unfortunately, I am rather disappointed with the many variants, even if a lot of effort went into them. The filament guide is intentionally on the inside to achieve better adhesion during printing. The print is fast and economical. Print time is under 4 minutes and uses 0.54 grams of filament (according to slicer data).

Design Concept
This filament clip was specially designed for Sunlu spools to keep the filament properly organized during storage and use. The clip does not have to be constantly removed but remains permanently on the spool, even during printing. No more searching for clips. Since the clip is attached to the inside of the spool, its use in an MMU should not be a problem. Currently it is still untested in the Bambu AMS, Creality CFS, or Anycubic ACE, but should not cause any problems there.

Application
The filament clip holds the filament firmly on the spool to prevent knots and tangles during storage. Simply slide it into the clip from the side.

Print Notes
For best results, the clip should be printed from robust and somewhat flexible material such as PETG, TPU, or ABS. However, it also works excellently with PLA. The recommended layer height is 0.16 mm with an infill density of 15%.

Assembly Instructions
After printing, simply click the clip onto the designated spot on the Sunlu spool. No additional tools required.
