Boost Me (for free)

Consider boosting me to support my projects!

DISCLAIMER!

I disclaim all responsibility for any injuries resulting from a lack of precautions during the installation of the blocks. The printer is heavy! It is best to have two people to lift it.

I also disclaim all responsibility for any damage to your printer. Make sure it is stable on the blocks. Ensure that the blocks only touch the edges of the printer; the center must remain clear. Mechanisms and belts are exposed under the printer. Be careful not to place these mechanisms directly on the blocks.

Finally, make sure the printer is stable. I recommend running a calibration and monitoring it. The printer should not show any instability. If it does, ensure that the printer's feet are correctly placed in the support block cavities. Also, monitor the first prints to ensure everything is in order.

I wanted a raised support model, but I couldn't find one that included drawers and a plate holder. So I decided to design my own model to place under the printer. My blocks are placed directly on a varnished wood panel, and I haven't had any problems with slipping. Feel free to send me your suggestions for improvement!

Required hardware:

M3 X 16mm: structure assembly

M3 X 20mm: to fix the chute

Insert M3: structure assembly

M2 X 20mm: drawer handle assembly

The handles were created by Maxx Design a model I particularly appreciate.

IMPORTANT

The drawers must be printed with a smooth plate (smooth PEI) to avoid any inconvenience during opening and closing.

UPDATE

  • The tool holders for the drawers have arrived, it's HERE

  • Added front-facing element supports to ensure print alignment
  • Following requests, I added a profile for the drawer with a waste compartment
  • Modified drawer size to 99.5%
  • Added inserts for H2C plate storage, thanks @NuIIPointer
  • Added Gridfinity base to the drawers, thanks @NuIIPointer
  • Added a ventilated chute, thanks @NewbiDie100

All these modifications are in the same file to allow space for future print profiles

Full assembly documentation coming soon
