READ THE DESCRIPTION
This chessboard is inspired by the Harry Potter universe and is perfect for fans, makers, and collectors. Each piece has been carefully designed, with different designs for the two houses: Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw.
This project is an addition to the first set with Gryffindor and Slytherin, link below, to complete the four Hogwarts houses.

Dedicated figure containers
To avoid leaving the figures always on the chessboard, I designed two dedicated containers:
- Each house has its own container, to keep the pieces separate.
- The containers can be stacked one on top of the other, making organization and transport easier.
- They have a simple but elegant design, pleasant to the touch, and perfect for storing the figures between games.
Chessboard assembly
The chessboard is composed of 4 sections that connect to each other with integrated connectors:
- The pieces are numbered and must be assembled in the order specified by the design.
- In case of incorrect assembly, the connectors will not match, preventing errors.
- The last piece can be a bit stiffer: to facilitate the operation, I slightly chamfered the tip of a connector and used PLA glue to perfectly fix the entire structure.
Attention during printing
- Some figures have wands or thin details: they are delicate, avoid handling them by grasping these parts.
- The files are already ready for printing, with supports placed where necessary.
- To achieve the multicolor effect of the chessboard, the use of an AMS or AMS lite system is recommended.
I printed the characters with a Silk Sunlu Blue and Black filament, but the black part does not render details well: the finishes are lost and facial features are barely visible.
I advise against using black for the characters, especially if you want to highlight the details of the face and clothes. Lighter, matte, or metallic colors are better (but not too dark).
Each figure has been designed differently from the others, not only in the character's details but also in the base it rests on.
I didn't want a monotonous or repetitive chessboard, so I created variations in poses, accessories, and bases to make each piece truly unique.
If you have printed the project, I would appreciate it if you shared the photo and showed the colors each of you chose 😊
