Voxelman 3: Delightfully Poseable

Let me preface this by explaining the files: There are two files, the stable release, and experimental release. Stable has the features that are more or less functional already. Experimental has features like ab crunch and exchanging faces which do not quite work yet. Instructions are for the experimental version, since the stable release just has less parts and steps. I tried both PLA and PETG, and recommend PETG for the clips and PLA for the shell.

So, it has been a year since I made the Minecraft inspired figure, which then become something else entirely as I crammed i as much articulation into it as possible. The premise being, what if Revoltech made that figure? Well, I have so much to tell you! Firstly, what is different? Everything! A complete ground up overhaul of every part, and I have replaced the archaic and unsightly dowel system with the slightly more pleasing clip system! You still need pliers to push the clip pins into housing, and some tape on the clip pins, but it is not nearly as problematic as before.

Also, Voxelman finally has working hips! And double jointed knees! Hahahaha, he is quite a delight to pose and play now :D It has also been through 4 iterations already, which means less nasty issues compared to the last version. It is slightly bigger since each unit is 10mm instead of the previous 8mm, but that sort of adds to its presence.

Onto the more geeky side of things, I started color coding different iterations so I have an easier time explaining what each one achieves… It's such a hack and I love it XD
