Creality Filament Clip

I sought to create a filament clip that is simple to print and functions effectively. Unfortunately, I've been somewhat disappointed by the numerous existing variations, despite the evident effort invested in them. The filament guide is intentionally positioned internally to enhance adhesion during printing. Printing is rapid and economical.

 

Design Concept
 

This filament clip is specifically designed for Creality spools, to keep filament neatly organized during storage and use. The clip need not be constantly removed; it remains permanently attached to the spool, even during printing. No more searching for clips. Because the clip attaches to the inside of the spool, it should also function seamlessly with an MMU. While currently untested in the Bambu AMS, it should pose no problems with the Creality CFS or Anycubic ACE.

 

Application
 

The filament clip securely holds the filament to the spool, preventing knots and tangles during storage. Simply slide the filament into the clip from the side.

 

Printing Instructions

For optimal results, the clip should be printed using a robust and slightly flexible material such as PETG, TPU, or ABS. However, PLA also performs exceptionally well. A recommended layer height is 0.16 mm with a 15% infill density.

 

Assembly Instructions
 

After printing, simply snap the clip onto its designated location on the Creality spool. No additional tools are required.
