Description
Filament Clip for ESUN Spools
I sought a filament clip that is both simple to print and highly functional. Unfortunately, I was rather disappointed by the many existing variations, despite the evident effort invested in their creation. The deliberate internal filament guide enhances adhesion during printing. Printing is swift and economical.
Design Concept
This filament clip is specifically designed for ESUN spools, ensuring proper filament organization during storage and use. The clip remains permanently attached to the spool, even during printing, eliminating the need for constant removal and retrieval. As the clip attaches internally to the spool, its use with an MMU should present no difficulties. While currently untested in the Bambu AMS, it should pose no problems with Creality CFS or Anycubic ACE systems.
Application
The filament clip securely holds the filament to the spool, preventing knots and tangles during storage. Simply slide the filament laterally into the clip.
Printing Instructions
For optimal results, print the clip using a robust and slightly flexible material such as PETG, TPU, or ABS. However, PLA also performs admirably. A recommended layer height is 0.16 mm with a 15% infill density.
Assembly Instructions
After printing, simply click the clip onto its designated location on the ESUN spool. No additional tools are required.
