This Torture Test tests almost everything, from flow rate to text! It is smaller and more accurate that V1: Less filament, Fixed tolerance test, more variety, actual variations in specific tests (having different size text), etc.
- Varying overhang test
- Retraction test
- Fillet (rounding) test
- Chamfer test
- Tolerance test from 0.1mm to 0.6mm
- Side detail test
- Hole diameter test from 0.5 to 8mm
- Logo test
- Thin wall test
- Tall thin wall test
- Bridging test from 5mm to 40mm
- Ruler test
- Side text test
- Bed adhesion tests
- Warping test
- Recessed hole test
Clean, brutal, and efficient — this print is designed to reveal weaknesses fast. It’s perfect for quick benchmarking (50 minutes, just 25 minutes more than a Benchy), calibration refinement, or testing different filament types. If your printer can handle this, it’s probably ready for anything. Here's a Google Doc with instructions for interpreting your test:

SpectraForge All-in-One Torture Test – Guide & Troubleshooting (Beginner friendly at bottom)
Overview
This all-in-one torture test is built to push your 3D printer to its limits, exposing weaknesses in dimensional accuracy, mechanical precision, and extrusion consistency. Whether you’re dialing in a new machine or fine-tuning a slicer profile, this model delivers a compact yet brutal challenge at just 2 inches~
Tests Included
- Overhang Test: Varying angles to assess cooling and extrusion control.
- Retraction Test: Eliminates stringing when properly tuned.
- Spring Test: Evaluates mechanical flexibility and layer adhesion.
- Fillet & Chamfer Tests: Checks how well curves and sharp edges print.
- Tolerance Test (0.1mm - 0.6mm): Measures fitment precision.
- Side & Bottom Text Tests: Verifies detail resolution.
- Hole Diameter Test (0.5mm - 8mm): Ensures circular accuracy.
- Thin & Tall Wall Tests: Assesses stability and extrusion consistency.
- Bridging Test (5mm - 40mm): Measures print quality on unsupported spans.
- Ruler Test: Checks dimensional accuracy.
- Bed Adhesion & Warping Tests: Diagnoses first-layer issues.
- Logo Test: Evaluates fine detail reproduction.
Recommended Print Settings
- Layer Height: 0.2mm
- Walls: 2
- Infill: 5%
- Supports: Enable for overhang test if struggling
- Cooling: 100% fan speed for PLA
- Print Time: ~50 minutes
Troubleshooting & Fixes
Issue | Cause | Solution |
| Stringing | Poor retraction settings, high temp | Increase retraction, lower temp by 5°C until it works better. |
| Overhang Failure | Low cooling, fast speed, no supports | Increase fan speed, slow down print, enable supports if needed. |
| Bridging/Sagging | Insufficient cooling | Lower temp, reduce bridge speed. |
| Thin Walls Breaking | Under-extrusion, incorrect flow rate | Adjust flow rate, increase wall count or thickness.. |
| Dimensional Inaccuracy | Loose belts, bad e-steps | Tighten belts, calibrate e-steps. |
| Warping | Poor bed adhesion | Use a heated bed, apply glue stick, or adjust the elephant's foot settings. You can also add a brim. |
Interpreting Your Results
- If your printer completes the test with clean details, it’s well-calibrated.
- If overhangs fail, cooling, speed, or supports need adjustment.
- If bridging sags, check your extrusion multiplier and fan settings.
- If thin walls break easily, tweak flow rate and retraction settings.

SpectraForge All-in-One Torture Test – Beginner Guide & Fixes
What It Is
This test print is made to push your 3D printer to the limit. It helps you find problems with accuracy, movement, and how well your printer lays down plastic. It's great if you're setting up a new printer or testing out new settings. And it's small—only 2~ inches—but tough!
What It Tests
- Overhangs: Checks how well your printer handles angles.
- Retraction: Helps reduce stringing between parts.
- Spring: Tests flexibility and layer bonding.
- Fillets & Chamfers: Looks at curved and angled edges.
- Tolerance (0.1mm - 0.6mm): Tests how tight parts can fit.
- Text: Tests how clearly your printer can print letters.
- Hole Sizes (0.5mm - 8mm): Makes sure holes are round and accurate.
- Thin & Tall Walls: Checks stability and consistent extrusion.
- Bridging (5mm - 40mm): Tests how well your printer spans gaps.
- Ruler: Checks if your printer is the right size.
- Bed Adhesion & Warping: Finds out if the first layer sticks.
- Logo: Tests small detail printing.
Common Problems & Fixes
Problem | What’s Wrong | How to Fix It |
| Stringing | Retraction too low, temp too high | Raise retraction settings, lower temp by 5°C |
| Overhangs look messy | Not enough cooling, speed too fast, no supports | Increase fan, slow down speed, turn on supports |
| Bridges sag | Not cooling fast enough | Lower temp, slow bridge speed |
| Thin parts break | Not enough plastic, bad flow rate | Adjust flow rate, add more walls |
| Wrong sizes | Loose belts, incorrect steps | Tighten belts, calibrate e-steps |
| Warping or lifting | First layer not sticking | Use a heated bed, glue stick, or add a brim |
How to Read Your Results
- If it prints clean with sharp details, your printer is well-tuned!
- If overhangs are rough, try more cooling, slower speeds, or supports.
- If bridges sag, tweak your fan and extrusion settings.
- If thin parts break, adjust your flow and retraction.
