Paracord Carabiner - Remix

Remixed for 4mm cord and a stronger carabiner. The original was for 4mm cord but it did not work with my 4mm paracord. The cam was only scaled up. No other modification made to that component.

The carabiner was heavily modified. A reinforcement strut was added in the flex area of the clip. The Z lock was increased in size. Then the biggest change, the whole locking arm was moved outside the clip. This allows for a better lock and repeated clipping without loosing the ability to spring back into the YZ lock.

I played around with seveal version of the clipping mechanism to make it more reliably and repeatable. Different lengths, posistions, and sizes of struts were tried to make the best version. I also tried filling in the whole area. Filling in the flex area caused the arm to break.

The desing still uses a M3x12 screw and nut.

NOT intended for use in climbing or activities where human suspension is required ie: light-duty applications, non-load-bearing tasks. Use for climbing can result in serious injury or death.
