Description

📆 Days of the Week Wheel

This interactive gear-based day display was born from a real need:

“My son kept asking me what day it was — every single morning.”

To help him (and others like him), I designed this playful and educational tool that shows yesterday, today, and tomorrow using a rotating 7-day gear.

By turning the yellow star, the display smoothly advances to the next day. Each day is paired with a unique color, offering visual support and structure for users who benefit from clear daily routines — perfect for classrooms, home environments, or therapeutic settings.

✨ Features

  • Mechanical interaction using real gears and axles
  • Multilingual versions available: English, Dutch, and German
  • Child-friendly design: colourful, sturdy, and intuitive
  • Educational and engaging: supports day recognition and planning

🧩 Parts List

  • Main display housing with 3 viewports
  • Large 7-day gear
  • Small gear
  • Large axle
  • Small axles with star-shaped handle
  • Coloured day markers
  • Stable tabletop stand

🖨️ 3D Printing Notes

  • Designed for easy assembly and reliable rotation
  • Multi-color printing recommended for best visual clarity
  • Important: Make sure to remove all support material. Leftover support may block the gear mechanism!

If you have any feedback, please let me know!
