Revision History

  • 📅 24/07/2025 : public release after initial testing and validation
  • 📅 03/08/2025 : separation of support profile and cover profile

đŸ› ïž 3 sizes of robust shelf brackets

  • Based on a print profile I often used, I wanted to create my own model — more robust, more aesthetic, and better suited to my needs.
  • Objective: design a solid shelf bracket for oak boards, capable of supporting more load, while allowing for visual customization through a colored cover.

🧊 The brackets can be printed in PLA or PETG for increased resistance depending on the use.

🧰Model Content

The set includes:

1ïžâƒŁ The bracket — available in 3 sizes:

  • Large: 200×200×20 mm
  • Medium: 200×150×20 mm
  • Small: 200×100×20 mm

2ïžâƒŁ The cover — optional, for a clean and colorful finish

đŸ§·Assembly and Installation

  • Positioning and drilling (M5 or M6)
  • Installation of brackets with a long screwdriver or ratchet
  • Final shelf fastening with the same tools

đŸ§Ș Tests & Adjustments

Tests were performed on an A1 printer. If you need to adjust the X-Y contour of the cover, here is a short YouTube video so you can see the parameter to modify: Bambu Studio: Cover for reinforced shelf support - how to adjust XY Contour Compensation

and the procedure:

In summary, you need to open the .3mf file then:

  • select object mode
  • Select the desired cover X object in the corresponding print profile in the quality tab change the value of "XY Contour Compensation" always to negative to gradually reduce the value or to positive to increase the size I advise steps of 0.1
  • Perform a print test of the cover test plate if the assembly between the cover and the support fits by forcing it a little, it is normal, this is so that the cover stays in place if the assembly is too loose, you must reduce the value and perform another print test
  • If the test is conclusive, modify the value for all parts of the left and right cover plate in object mode, you can select all objects on the plate using the ctrl key in the menu, then modify the value once
