D5x2 mm Round Magnet (20PCS) - CA003

Description

Omnitrix Watch

Spinning action to change alien! Clicky “on” button (no electronics or sounds made, purely imagination-driven).

This Omnitrix model uses a built-in bearing type design and magnets to achieve the spinning action.

Magents used: (20x) 5x2 magnets

You will need to print (on a normal on-paper printer) the alien silhouette ring (should also be listed under “documentation”) and apply to "Dial"." The diameter of the ring should be 37.6mm or 142px and should already be properly sized. I recommend printing on adhesive-backed sticker paper.

The hinge accepts a 3mm x 80mm rod, either metal or wooden

Metal Rod

OR

Wooden Rod

Feel free to source materials from any other source, just make sure the dimensions are correct.
(20x)5x2mm magnets & (1x) 3x8mm rod

If you'd like a clicky action on the side button you will need to glue a tactile momentary switch underneath.

The pictures also show foam padding inside of the cuffs. my son has very small wrists so padding was needed. Please use or don't use for your specific use-case. I used 5mm EVA foam.

To note: the latching mechanism has been really hard for me to get just right, especially with different filaments having different tolerances when printed, different filaments types, etc. If mechanism is too tight after printing please know that it will loosen over time but can also be sanded to achieve desired resistance. If mechanism is too loose, consider adding super glue & baking soda to add material (a little at a time) and then sanding. I'm not perfect and I'm sure this model isn't either so go easy on me lol
