Description

Model to replace wooden cube for troops token

Model is quite detailed I printed it on 0.2mm nozzle, was aiming for futuristic armored warrior holding a melee weapon.

I uploaded also STLs but before you attempt to print it on non bambulab printer checkout of the settings I used in 3mf.

Key ingredients :

  • 0.2mm nozzle
  • top z distance 150% of layer high
  • manual tree support
  • very good adhesion build plate - I use smooth PEI
  • slower print - (default High Quality profile)

(!) Tips on removing the supports:
If you printed successfully next challenge is removing support if you do it usual way you have a good change of snapping  both arms. Strategy I used is to:

  • cut the supports half way with clippers creating a gap
  • pure warm-hot water into a dish
  • give a mini a bath for 2-3 miniatures depending on temperature to soften the supports
  • slowly remove the support pieces starting from bottom layers
  • you probably need to  bath couple of times of each miniature cause they cool down quite quick

Supports removal guide:

  1. where to cut

  2. how to remove (~20MB wait for it to load)

Enjoy
