CyberBrick bubble tank, unstoppable wherever it goes

Description
Design Inspiration:
Summer has arrived, and children are playing with various water guns and bubble guns. Adults, naturally, deserve something a bit different,
I happened to have a spare CyberBrick kit after building a forklift with my initial purchase, which sparked the idea of
combining a CyberBrick kit with water guns and bubble guns
The Bubble Car is the inaugural project in a planned series based on the CyberBrick kit. The modeling may not be fully refined yet,
but continuous improvements are planned to create a diverse range of enjoyable models
Preparation:
Initially, I created a CyberBrick-based remote control chassis. My intention is to develop modular models based on a common
chassis, with various add-ons for diverse functionalities
Therefore, the first creation features the universal chassis, augmented with detachable bubble gun attachments, forming the Bubble Car
1、Parts Required
Beyond the common main control unit, battery, and power switch, and the kit's included components, you will need the following items. Please ensure you have them already, or have purchased equivalents, before beginning assembly
| No | Part Name | Quantity | Purchase Link | Photo | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | N20 Motor | 2 | GA12-N20 Gear Motor, Intelligent Car 3V6V12V Miniature DC Gear Motor Low Speed Motor - Taobao | ![]() | I purchased a 200 RPM N20 motor; for higher speed, consider a faster motor |
| 2 | 180°/360° Servo | 1 |
| Standard SG90/SG90S servo | |
| 3 | Bubble Gun Gearbox | 1 | Bubble Gun Gearbox, Mini Six-Hole Multi-Hole Bubble Machine Core, Electric Toy Accessories - Taobao | ![]() | This gearbox measures approximately 3.2cm in diameter and 5.2cm in height. It's relatively small; if you intend to use a custom gearbox, please let me know in the comments |
| 4 | M2*6 Self-Tapping Screws | Several | ![]() | Other M2 screws can be substituted if unavailable | |
| 5 | SH1.0 Terminals | 2 | SH1.0mm Terminals, Colorful Electronic Connecting Wires 10cm20cm Single-Head Double-Head 30AWG 1.0mm Pitch - Taobao | ![]() | Self-sourced from Taobao. The CyberBrick's motor interface utilizes SH1.0. Alternatively, the motor's wires can be detached and soldered to the N20 motor |
| 6 | M3*8/M3*10 Screws | 2 |
Q: Why use N20 motors instead of the CyberBrick's included motors?
A: The included motors are too slow, and their gearboxes are bulky. I aimed for a more compact design, hence the N20 motors
Q: The CyberBrick includes a 180° servo; why the need for an additional one?
A: The CyberBrick controller consists of an ESP32 core board and a driver board. The driver board integrates two DC motor interfaces
and four PWM servo interfaces. The universal chassis utilizes both motor interfaces, leaving only four PWM servo interfaces available
However, the bubble gun gearbox requires a motor interface. Therefore, we modify an SG90 servo to indirectly drive the gearbox motor
Refer to the attached document for detailed instructions
2、Tools Required
----- Soldering Iron (basic soldering skills required)
----- Screwdriver (a slender one is recommended)
----- Scissors (for wire cutting)
----- Hot Glue Gun
3、Refer to the attached file for detailed assembly instructions
Important Note: Bubble solution may leak from the gearbox during operation, potentially reaching the main control board and driver, creating a short circuit risk. Ensure the gearbox always rotates counter-clockwise when inactive. Place absorbent material inside the gearbox housing to prevent leakage. Immediately power off and dry with a hair dryer if any abnormality is detected
