Description

This is a new version of my tool-less mounting system for IKEA Skadis pegboard. The tool-less version relied on thin dowel that easily broke. This version uses a metal screw which offers much more strength.

  • No holes in your walls!
  • Supports Medium (10lb) and Large (16lb) Command Strips (and likely other adhesives)
  • Requires m4x16mm screw and bolt. This kit works great https://a.co/d/dfNieBC.
  • Pictured with IKEA Skadis by AU3D - with mount holes. However, it would likely work with the versions without mount holes too (you would just need to mount it in a peg slot).
    • Pictured with 10x10 columns, and will likely support other sizes (especially with medium Command Strips). The mounts for the large Command Strips are longer, so 10x10 is recommended for these.
  • Does not block Skadis peg holes - there is still enough clearance to use them.

Instructions:

  1. Buy medium or large Command Strips if you don't already have them.
  2. Print the matching plate (medium or large). PETG is recommended for its added strength - but it likely works with basic PLA too.
  3. Insert a m4x16mm screw through a mounting hole in the Skadis.
  4. Attach the nut to the screw on the bottom of the mount.
  5. Repeat for the rest of the holes.
  6. Attach the Command Strips and mount to the wall.
