This model is inspired by **our country's military aviation equipment** integrating the traditional culture of Chinese chess with the aesthetics of modern military technology reinterpreting a cross-era strategic performance

• 2025.10.17: Added configuration "detachable chessboard"—No glue needed for assembly, uses two rotating buckles + several reinforcement strips for splicing, allowing for repeated assembly and disassembly

• Broad Themes: Covers active equipment of the Chinese Air Force, Naval Aviation, and Army Aviation, as well as experimental aircraft and unmanned combat platforms
• Recognition Priority: Selects aircraft models with distinct appearance features and high contour recognition, ensuring pieces are identifiable at a glance
• Functional Alignment: Maps aircraft to corresponding chess pieces based on their tactical functions and combat characteristics

✈️ Piece Introduction

• General (King) —— KJ-3000
  Soaring high above, observing all directions The KJ-3000, a new generation large early warning aircraft, carries a giant radar dome, dominating battlefield information distribution and combat coordination It is the brain and eyes of the aerial combat system, much like the "General" in Chinese chess, unmoving as a mountain, controlling the entire situation
• Advisor (Guard) —— Attack-11
  Loyal escort, close cooperation The Attack-11 is our country's new stealth UAV, capable of escort operations and intelligent formation flying, serving as a "loyal wingman" This is precisely like the "Advisor" in Chinese chess, guarding the commander closely, never leaving their side

• Elephant (Minister) —— "Jiutian" UAV
  High-altitude long-endurance patrol, steady internal defense The "Jiutian" UAV features a "heterogeneous honeycomb mission bay" design, allowing flexible switching between forms for firepower strike, aerial delivery, intelligence gathering, and emergency rescue, forming a versatile backbone of rear support Just like the "Elephant," though it cannot cross boundaries, it stabilizes one side

  

• Rook (Chariot) —— J-20
  Thunder of the skies, sharp and direct The J-20 is our country's fifth-generation stealth fighter, capable of supersonic cruise and stealth penetration, serving as the main force in controlling air superiority This corresponds to the "Rook" in Chinese chess, moving unhindered, directly attacking the opponent's core

• Cannon —— J-36
  Elusive and unpredictable, striking swiftly across vast distances The J-36 is a sixth-generation stealth fighter currently under verification, integrating future technologies such as stealth, high-speed cruise, and unmanned collaboration Its large payload bay allows for long-range penetration strikes, just like the "Cannon" which leaps to attack from afar and wins with surprise moves

  

• Knight (Horse) —— WZ-10
  Skimming the ground, agilely breaking formations The WZ-10 is our country's first dedicated attack helicopter, excelling in low-altitude penetration and precision strikes, often used to cover advances and assault key ground targets This corresponds to the "Knight" in Chinese chess, which can both flank and rapidly reinforce

• Pawn (Soldier) —— "Swarm" Rotary-Wing UAV
  Densely grouped, advancing in swarms As a light combat unit in modern warfare, rotary-wing UAVs widely perform tasks such as reconnaissance, guidance, and interference This corresponds to the "Pawn" in Chinese chess, deployed on the front line and steadily advancing, capable of influencing the outcome at critical moments

  

🛠️ Printing and Installation

The model file is divided into three parts

(I) Aircraft and Stands

• No AMS needed
• Designed for FDM, no supports
• To ensure quality, the aircraft parts are printed with a 0.12mm layer height, and print speed has been reduced
• Parts are small, so please be sure to clean the printing plate and spray/apply glue before printing After printing, wait a few minutes for it to cool before removing it from the plate; do not forcefully scrape it off while hot

• After printing all plates, assemble with glue Each aircraft body has no more than 3 parts, making assembly simple

• Each aircraft has an independent stand (plate 7), set at different flight heights to prevent wing interference and enhance the three-dimensional look

  —But it's okay if they get mixed up, the stands have markings to help distinguish them

(II) Chess Piece Bases

• AMS required
• Base diameter is 48mm For A1 mini, it needs to be printed across 4 plates; other models can print it in 2 plates (one plate black characters + one plate white characters)
• To achieve a smooth and flat surface, the pattern side faces the heated bed (the chessboard too)
• If the 3mf file colors are abnormal, please upgrade your slicing software to version 2.0 or higher

(III) Chessboard

• AMS required
• It is recommended to choose two colors with high contrast For example, Bambu Lab PLA Gray Blue (chessboard) + PLA Matte Orange (engraved lines)
• The total length and width of the chessboard are 51✕46 cm Printing the detachable version is recommended: it is cut into six blocks for printing, allowing for repeated assembly and disassembly This configuration does not support A1 mini

A quick reminder: good bed adhesion is essential for a successful print.
Make sure your material and temperature settings are correct, and clean the build plate regularly.
Bambu Lab Liquid Glue for Build Plate is a great way to ensure reliable results.
