Description

Ultimate Ironing Calibration Test

If you're chasing clean, smooth surfaces, this tool is made for you.

Our Ultimate Ironing Calibration Test is designed to help you understand exactly how ironing behaves across a full range of settings: ironing speed from 10 to 100 mm/s and 10 to 100% flow.

It's packed into one easy-to-print, lightweight plate (just 48g!).

Forget dozens of small, wasteful test parts, this plate is meant to be kept, reused, and compared. Like a filament swatch, but for ironing. Built for makers who care about quality and sustainability.

Key Features:

  • 🔧 Test both ironing speed and flow in one go
  • ♻️ Eco-conscious design, low material use, long-term value
  • 🧩 Single-piece model, easy to store, no mess
  • 🧪 Compatible with any filament (PLA, PETG, ABS, etc.)
  • ⚖️ Weighs just 48g, prints easily on most machines (A1, P1, X1)

How to Use:

  • First, make sure your filament flow and pressure advance were already calibrated, for best results.
  • Choose your machine, plate, and material presets.
  • Then, and this is key, set the global print speeds to match what you actually use in your real-world prints. Find here an example:

Once printed, this becomes your go-to surface reference. Just pick it up when switching filaments or tweaking your profiles.

🔍 How to Interpret the Results

This calibration plate is not about finding one perfect setting , it’s about helping you discover what looks and feels best to you.

As you examine the printed plate:

  • Focus on the top surface texture in each block.
  • Compare areas with different ironing speeds and flow percentages.
  • Look for what matches your ideal surface quality:
Do you prefer smoother, glossier finishes? Or more matte, uniform results?
