Description

I was surprised that this didn't already exist.

I just assumed that probably the best selling mouse in the world would already have some sort of desktop charging solution.  Oddly, the solution is “find a USB C cable and plug it in.”  I admit, that is a pretty simple solution, but it's also inelegant.   The mouse's charge lasts so long that by the time I need to charge it I also need to hunt for a cable.

OK, I admit that isn't that big a deal.  I just like having dedicated docks for things.  It makes me feel good.  So I made a charging dock that you can just slide the mouse into and it will link up and charge.

Apply a few dabs of CA gel glue to the flat front sleeve of your USB C cable and quickly and carefully pass your cable through the rear of the puck.  Again working carefully, pass the male connection through the slot and then hold the cable in place for a minute or two to allow the CA glue to set.

The pathway for the USB cable measures 13.5 x 7.5 mm.  Believe it or not, not all USB C cords will fit.   Due to the shape of the mouse, I couldn't make the pathway much larger.  Out of the USB C cords I had laying around, around 80% of them fit in the dock.   Your mileage may vary.
