The Venator-class Star Destroyer, also known as a Republic attack cruiser, was the mainstay warship of the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars in Star Wars. Designed by Kuat Drive Yards, it measured 1137 meters in length and had a crew of 7400. Its iconic design included twin command towers (the port tower controlled fighter deployment, and the starboard tower managed ship operations) and a half-kilometer-long deployable flight deck capable of rapidly deploying 400 starfighters, including 192 V-wings or V-19 Torrent fighters, 192 Eta-2 interceptors, and 36 ARC-170 fighters. The ship boasted formidable firepower, equipped with 8 heavy turbolasers, 52 point-defense cannons, and proton torpedo launchers, combining the functions of an aircraft carrier and a battleship. It distinguished itself in battles such as the Battle of Coruscant, but was gradually replaced by Imperial-class Star Destroyers with the rise of the Galactic Empire.
