A cat-face shaped cat flap with a lock, allowing for customization with your favorite patterns or painting directly onto the unpainted model using paint pens or markers. The bow tie lock design allows for free opening, one-way opening, or complete closure by rotating it to a specific angle.

No supports needed, total material usage slightly over 200g.

Opening size: Height 170(+4)mm, Width 160(+4)mm. The opening size is compatible with the very popular size M cat flap on Taobao and Pinduoduo (Figure 6). If yours is broken or you simply don't like it, you can print this one as a replacement.

The accessories use 2mm × 12mm small steel shafts, available on Pinduoduo for around 2 yuan for 100 pieces (Figures 7 & 8). A short section of suitable filament can be used as a temporary substitute.

This model directly supports door thicknesses of approximately 25-45mm. For thinner doors, negative parts can be added to reduce the model's height; however, ensure the height does not fall below 8mm and does not affect the parts, otherwise, separate printing will be necessary.

Simple assembly is required before installation. First, insert the lock into the circular hole at the rear of the front door frame. Next, pass the bow tie through the circular hole, and tighten it against the lock piece via the square hole (Figure 9). Then, insert a 2mm × 12mm steel shaft into each of the small holes on the top of the door panel (insert fully). Finally, gently bend the door panel and insert the exposed end of the steel shaft into the small hole at the top of the front door frame to complete the assembly.

Note:

1. The bow tie should have some resistance when rotated after passing through the circular hole and not spin freely (the model is designed with a 0.05mm radius gap; adjust according to your printer's accuracy).

2. The relative orientation of the bow tie and the lock should allow the door to open freely in both directions when rotated to a specific angle.

3. The bow tie and lock connection should be tight. If loose, insert a piece of filament or a toothpick into the gap at the end of the bow tie after assembly.
