Description

Boost Me (for free)

Please boost me if you made good use of this project :) thank you in advance !

I designed this plier rack based on some inspiration from other branded ones out there such as Snap-on/Sealey/MAC and Milwaukee's versions but didn't want to pay £30-60 for them!

i have a TEST version of this print available which is thinner and weaker but faster to print if you want to check it fits in your toolbox draws etc.

TEST version: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1103211-plier-holder-organizer#profileId-1098654

This final design has a 15.5mm gap between spaces to ensure your pliers are kept snug, thicker walls than the test version and has space underneath for 12x3 mm magnets should you desire. For me the weight of the pliers holds then tight enough in my snap on draws

Some larger vice grips are tight on the width with the 15.5mm gap but do fit (See pictured, the RED plier holder, The gray is the test version)

They are strong and sturdy enough to hold your pliers/grips in place in the draw and the height of  them is only 45mm allowing to fit in almost any toolbox draws bar the crazy shallow ones.

If any adjustments are required, post a comment and i will upload an additional print profile to suit but i do think i have found a happy medium!

Recommend printing in PLA+,PETG or ABS.

I have these printed in PLA , PLA+, PETG, ABS and ASA. Currently using them daily printed in red PLA+

This version DOES NOT need supports (the test version does), but please double check your build plate/temperature before printing as always adhesion to the plate is critical

These can be clipped together to ensure they are perfectly straight and in line, the clips provided in the print profile are designed to be a TIGHT fit with very small tolerance, you may have to press down HARD on a hard/flat surface to get them in, or if your printers tolerances are slightly loose they will just fall in.

Please print the orientation provide in the print profile to prevent any unwanted issues

Benefits:

  • CHEAP
  • Mega toolbox/draw space saving
  • DID I SAY CHEAP?
  • Organization
  • Modular (I use 3 in a row in my Snap On toolbox draws as pictured)
