Description

I've been using test tubes as a water source for my ants since I got them, but now that I have a 3D printer, I can finally get rid of them.

I wanted to design something that doesn't need frequent refills, that's easy to clean, and also doesn't let ants to nest in them.

This water station keeps the ants hidrated for a month and it's much easier to refill than an empty tube full of ants.

To assemble it first break the supports (the internal one with a pencil) and insert a cotton ball into the tube and screw a 100ml bottle full of water to the top.

I bought this pack of 5 for ~1.6 EUR on Temu, but it is available basically everywhere dirt cheap, if you search 100ml bottle on any large retail site. For example here's one on US Amazon (although slightly more expensive than Temu).

I used BRE3DLOVE Designs / Bottle Top | Bottle Cap - Screw on replacement as a model for the thread, but heavily modified it for this use case.

I've left all the objects and cutouts in the model, so feel free to modify them as needed for your model.
