Description

I designed this 3D printed jumping spider enclosure after being unable to find suitable enclosures locally here in Turkey, where the jumping spider hobby isn't very common.

The enclosure features an integrated cave embedded in the back wall and strategically placed rocks, including an upper corner stone that creates an important barrier between the spider and the lid - essential since jumping spiders naturally prefer to build their webs in upper corners near openings.

The top-opening lid and side panels are specifically designed with ventilation in mind, ensuring proper airflow. My design is optimized for 2.8mm thick acrylic glass, though you can easily modify the lid dimensions if using different thickness material. The enclosure dimensions are 100x200x70mm.

The side ventilation windows are designed to fit snugly on their own, but can be glued in place if your printer tolerances result in a looser fit.

Fake plant you see in the design image aren't included and downloaded from @3D2life (https://makerworld.com/en/models/902546-artificial-fern-plants?from=search#profileId-861891) - you can add your own natural or artificial vegetation as desired. I added some IKEA plant I found at home. Feel free to customize the design by removing any rock elements, though I recommend keeping the cave and upper corner stone, as these will probably be used by your spider to build up their web.

And lastly, here are Baby and BigBoy chilling in their enclosures 😊

Please share your photos and your spoods if you end up making this enclosure for yourself.
