Description
QNAS5 5-bay NAS Enclosure
A NAS enclosure designed specifically for 20cm fans
This enclosure is assembled from multiple panel-style parts, with exposed surfaces being the bottom side of the printing plate, eliminating layer line issues. The top cover and bottom plate are secured with magnets
The enclosure is relatively large; it is recommended to print with A1, P1, and ABS is the recommended material
The color scheme in the picture is orange and white
The upper part of the enclosure can accommodate five 3.5-inch hard drives, and the motherboard compartment has 2.5-inch hard drive sliding slots for quickly securing 2.5-inch hard drives in any position
The enclosure uses a DC-ITX motherboard. This type of motherboard is often used in low-spec all-in-one machines, with CPU models mostly being low-power products like J4105, N5095, N100, which are suitable for NAS and have a low price
A large number of J4105 CPUs from 2020, salvaged from machines, are available for less than 200 yuan on Xianyu
The IO panel currently only supports the most common motherboard models, and the IO panel can be individually removed and replaced
It uses a 12V external power supply with a 5525 connector. It is recommended to use reputable brands like Mean Well. A 90W power supply is recommended
The power supply uses a 1-to-2 splitter cable to power the motherboard and hard drives separately. The hard drive bay is equipped with a DC12V to SATA power module. Choose a module with high sales volume on Taobao. Supports synchronous power on and off
It is recommended to use Seagate SkyHawk surveillance drives for low power consumption and minimal heat generation
The 3.5-inch hard drives are secured with a 3-point flexible mounting system. Each hard drive uses 2 anti-vibration screws with rubber washers to minimize enclosure resonance
