  • If you want to make a player with custom text, please select the "Player with Text Space and Record" print profile and click "Open in Bambu Studio"
  • If you want to make a player without text or find that the text printing effect is poor, please directly select the "Player without Text and Record" print profile and click "Open in Bambu Studio", then print
  • If you only need to make the record, please select the "Record Standalone Model" print profile and click "Open in Bambu Studio", then print
  • All parts within the print file can be freely colored, which is a highlight of this design

Text Customization Method

August 20th Update: I was so foolish, I forgot that Bambu Studio has a built-in text generation function. The text customization tutorial has now been changed

• 1. Open the "Player with Text Space and Record" print profile

• 2. Temporarily move the lower half of the record from plate 2 to plate 1

  

• 3. Align the center of the lower half of the record with the center of the groove on the base plate

  

• 4. Select the base plate model, click "Text Shape" in the top menu bar

  

• 5. In this interface, you can adjust the text size, thickness, spacing, font, and content

  Suggestions:

  • For Chinese fonts, it is recommended to choose a robust font like "Microsoft YaHei UI". Fonts with consistent stroke thickness can reduce subsequent adjustment steps
  • Please determine the text size according to the available space
  • Text thickness should not be less than 0.4
  • When the text is in English, you can appropriately set the text spacing to a negative value (e.g., -0.5) to save space

  

  

How to improve text printing quality

When placing text in a limited space, the more text there is, the smaller each character becomes. Smaller characters with finer strokes are more difficult to print (especially Chinese characters), and sometimes material shortages may occur. In such cases, you can try

• Reduce the number of characters, enlarge the text (less effective solution)
• Change the text font to make the text bolder (moderately effective solution)

• Change the inner and outer wall line width of the text part (text shape) to 0.35mm (most effective solution)

Items you need to purchase

• Magnets with 8mm diameter and 2mm thickness (One magnet costs approximately ¥0.9)

  To use the entire player as a refrigerator magnet, 3 magnets are needed; to use the record as a refrigerator magnet, 1 magnet is needed

• Rotating bearing. Dimensions are shown in the figure, you can search by image on shopping apps (One rotating bearing costs approximately ¥1.5)

  

• NFC chip, recommended size within 3cm, I used a 2.5cm one (One NFC chip costs approximately ¥0.5)
• Please print the record cover yourself

NFC Setup Method

• This function is implemented via WeChat mini-program, supporting playback software such as QQ Music, NetEase Cloud Music, Kugou Music. For specific instructions, please click the video to view

Assembly Method

• The assembly method is shown in the figure below. When assembling, it is recommended to first glue the bearing to the player panel, wait for it to solidify, and then glue the record on. The record has a round hole at the bottom; just align this hole with the top of the bearing and glue it

  • The NFC chip is optional
  • The upper and lower parts of the record can be closed with gentle pressure and will not loosen or fall off
  • The bearing surface is relatively smooth, and the glue's bonding effect may be reduced due to insufficient friction on the bearing's surface
  • Be careful not to let glue get inside the bearing, as this will affect the rotation

  

  • The record cover is a square with a side length of 35mm

    If you want the cover to be displayed to its maximum extent, please reduce the cover to 33m and add a 1mm blank border around the outside of the cover

    • After printing an image with a determined size, the actual size might differ. I will put the A4-sized image I used in the document. You can refer to my image dimensions for printing. If you are not satisfied, please fine-tune the size yourself
