Show me some encouragement with a Boost! I'm using these designs as a reason to learn 3d modeling and any encouragement is greatly appreciated!

I found this Japanese Lantern model on Printables: https://www.printables.com/model/318894-japanese-garden-lantern-lamp

I immediately fell in love with it. This upload includes the settings tweaks I've used to ensure a high quality print. The lantern is scaled down to fit on to a single plate but it can easily be scaled up to larger sizes. Details like the lattice structure on the middle section and the tiling on the top section are particularly hard to print in high quality. Hopefully these print settings help.

Of special note, make sure the PLA used for this print is bone dry. Any humidity the filament has absorbed will cause the top section to string like crazy as the small motions along the outside perimeter of the top section involve a ton of rapid, small movements back and forth.

Put a small tealight LED candle in it and enjoy the ambiance!

All of my models are exclusive to MakerWorld. I will never upload them to other site and they will never be behind a paywall.

No generative AI is used in any part of my work.
