Description

The 80s were the best for music, movies, TV series and fashion. Okay, maybe not the last one, but definitely the first three. One of the great fantasy movies of all time was released in 1983, and it was called Krull.

For those who haven't seen it (WHY haven't you? See it immediately), it tells the tale of the world of Krull (funnily enough), which is invaded by a force of pure evil known as The Beast from his asteroid base of The Black Fortress. He kidnaps the betrothed of young Prince Colwyn (played by Kenneth Marshall, who subsequently lost his hair and joined the Maquis in the guise of Deep Space Nine's Commander Michael Eddington), who embarks on a quest to save her. He is joined in his quest by such 80s icons as Bernard Bresslaw, the ever-classy Freddie Jones, the legend that was Robbie Coltrane and a certain young man called Liam Neeson...

I won't spoil it, but in his quest, Colwyn needs to find The Glaive, a legendary weapon which will allow him to fight The Beast. He is given a pendant symbolising the Glaive, and thus we come to this new pendant.

So now you too can wear the Glaive! This is a reasonably faithful adaptation of the original from the movie (I've smoothed out the rough edges and obvious bodge-job the Props Dept did in making it), and now you too can feel the power of its coolness. I'm FAIRLY sure I've got the size right, it is quite a large one and it looks okay when it's on me, but I'm always open to feedback.

For Krull!
