Description

The mechanism in a retractable pen, often called a click mechanism, typically involves a spring, a cam, and a plunger. When the button is pressed, the plunger moves, rotating the cam and extending or retracting the plunger. The spring provides the tension for retraction.

Tips & Tricks

  • Apply lubricant grease to the surfaces of the rotor and plunger. Ensuring these surfaces are properly treated is crucial to prevent the mechanism from stuck.
  • To improve the rotor’s performance, we can use adaptive layer height to increase the surface smoothness in specific areas.
