Description

This detailed 3D-printed lighthouse combines realistic coastal design with a functional solar-powered light system. Split into 8 easy-to-print build plates, it’s perfect for both indoor décor and outdoor display.

Key Features:

  • Working solar light – mounted in the top section, channeling light through an 8 mm × 300 mm clear acrylic rod bent at ~250 mm to project through the front window
  • Two-piece window assembly – translucent “glass” is glued into the frame, which then snaps into the tower
  • Mostly snap-fit – no glue required except for the window glass
  • Versatile materialsPETG or similar recommended for outdoor use; PLA is ideal for indoor displays; all clear parts printed in Bambu Lab Translucent PETG for the Glow Contest
  • Minimal supports – parts sized to fit most standard printers for hassle-free printing and assembly

With its classic red-and-white styling, gallery railings, and working light, this lighthouse is just as stunning in daylight as it is when glowing at night.

It is a 540 mm tall functional model with working light beam, snap-fit assembly, and scalable design. Printed in Bambu Lab Translucent PETG for the Glow Contest.

I plan to add on to this, I've been designing a roof but I've had a lot of problems.. I'm going to add more windows and door as well. Multiple towers and parts, all interchangeable.

Thanks for looking!

These are the lights I used→ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DZ1SS8RV?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

and these are the rods, I planned to use these for a different project but they didn't work so I had to find another use.. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09YPYT2YQ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

*Edit! I redesigned the tower after I discovered geometry issues so I made it in two pieces, the red ring is separate and slides on now, it saves hours of printing time and a lot of filament due to less supports! I added the New tower stl and Tower Ring stl to replace the original and I'm in the process of creating a new 3mf for the whole lighthouse, I also added a couple new pictures..

Thanks again!
