Description

I really didn't want to spend $130 on the charging case for my new Rode Wireless Go 3 but I also knew the soft case wouldn't cut it for me. Looking for some models I found Prof_Rubik's holder centered around holding the Rode SC33 charging hub inside the shell so you could charge your RX and TX units while keeping them safe. I decided it would be great to incorporate that same idea into a rugged case.

After looking for a good generator I found cephalopodsquid's which this is a remix of, I wanted to make sure it could fit on an A1 Mini plate (because that's what I have) so I played with the parameters to make that work and leave enough room to get the full charge hub held in place while being able to actively charge it (using an 90 degree usb c adapter from Amazon). The inserts fit snug even without the usb option, but you should be able to use an adapter and then just throw in a small power bank to charge your Rode units when they're docked.

To assemble, the case itself uses 6x M3x40 bolts. Very easy to assemble but I've included some exploded views to make it clear. The insert goes in using 3 pieces, you could glue them if you'd like (one of them would trap your SC33 hub, though) but they fit well enough just pressed in that I'm not gluing mine.

Appreciate any ratings or boosts, this is my first really functional design and it took me probably a spool of iterations over a few days to get it to the point where I like using it and think it's worth sharing.
