Description
This automatic plant waterer, designed using the siphon principle of cotton rope, stores water in a mineral water bottle, which can consistently keep the soil moist. The height of the water reservoir can be adjusted, and there are two types of reservoirs, adapted for ordinary mineral water bottles and 5L Nongfu Spring mineral water bottles, respectively.
The height of the water reservoir should preferably be level with the soil in the flowerpot. If the water reservoir is too high, it will cause the siphon to be too fast. Use ordinary cotton string; if you want to increase the water supply, you can use multiple strands of cotton string simultaneously to connect the water reservoir to the soil in the flowerpot. One end of the cotton string needs to be immersed in the water of the reservoir, and the other end just needs to be in contact with the soil.
The printed parts in both versions of the model are interchangeable. The lifting stand, similar to the screw threads of desktop phone stands, can also be used interchangeably.
Because a 5L bottle filled with water is too heavy, the stand for this model is actually very unstable. Therefore, when I use a 5L water bottle, I only use the reservoir and use bricks to elevate it.
