Always appreciated, never expected. Thank you!

H2D bigger, organize better. This XL under-desk drawer system is designed for printers with an H2D build volume, providing a high-capacity storage solution that prints in one piece.

I designed these drawers because I was tired of having printer tools, spare nozzles, PTFE tubes, and other accessories scattered around my workspace or in multiple smaller drawers. I wanted a system that could hold a lot, keep everything organized, and expand when I needed more space without taking up valuable desk or workbench surface.

Perfect for storing spare nozzles, hotends, PTFE tubes, filament cutters, maintenance tools, calibration cards, small parts, and other accessories.

The system starts with one sturdy rail set for the first drawer. Add the optional extension rails to stack a second full-size drawer underneath.

Both drawers are compatible with a 7x7 Gridfinity layout, so you can create a custom organization setup that fits your workflow.

Assembly

  1. Print the rail set, drawer, and handle. (Print an optional second drawer with extension rails for expansion, or print them at a later time)
  2. Mount the first rail set securely under your desk or bench using #12 wood screws 3/4" to 1" long or M5 wood screws 20 mm to 25 mm long, depending on the thickness of your surface
  3. Use a square to make sure the rails are perfectly straight before tightening the screws
  4. Mount one side of the first rail set, then measure carefully and use the drawer itself to check that the measurements align before securing the other side
  5. The model is designed with 0.5 mm tolerances for the drawers, so make sure the rails are lined up tight for a smooth fit
  6. Slide the first drawer into place from the back. The built-in rail stops will prevent it from opening too far and falling out during use
  7. If adding a second drawer, attach the extension rails to the bottom of the first rail set. The extension rails have a 0.1 mm tolerance, so they slide in easily but remain snug to hold the second drawer securely
  8. Mount the second rail set into the extension rails. No alignment is needed as the snug fit will hold it in the correct position. Insert the second drawer from the back so the rail stops function properly
  9. Attach the handle. I used a few drops of CA Glue (super glue) on the slanted part of the handle.

Optional parts

  1. Drawer stops - snap in on the back of the rails and are designed to keep the drawer from sliding back to far. They have a tight tolerance. I thought they would be necessary, but I chose not to install them on my second drawer and have seen no issues.
  2. Alignment tool: designed to help with mounting. The holes line up identically to the distance needed for the rails. Please do not rely on this as a perfect fit; use it only as a base guide. Arrows on the guide point to the front of your desk/bench. Make sure to use a square and get all of your screws in the right spot. Because of printer tolerances and the tight drawer tolerance, I recommend mounting one rail and double-checking with the drawer in place before mounting the second rail. Gridfinity 7x7 panel. A print profile has been uploaded with a light Gridfinity base plate. If it fits perfectly inside the drawers, any 7x7 Gridfinity plate will fit. This is available for convenience; use the one that best suits your needs.
