Description

🛡️ Shield Keys – 6 Designs + 3 Interchangeable Pommel Styles

This project transforms an ordinary key into a miniature sword by combining a pommel, a shield, and the key blade itself.
No glue required — the parts snap securely into place. Designed for standard flat keys with a 23 mm head width.

⚔️ How it works

  • Pommel (3 styles) → Forms the sword handle
  • Shield (6 designs) → Covers the key head
  • Blade → The actual metal part of the key

🎨 The 6 Shield Designs

  1. Hylian Shield (The Legend of Zelda)
  2. Templar Cross
  3. Stylized Sun
  4. Captain America Shield
  5. Wood & Metal Viking Shield
  6. Blue & White Thegn-style Viking Shield

🛠️ Printing & Assembly

  • FDM 3D printing – PLA recommended
  • Two-piece shield shell snaps around the key head
  • Pommel clips onto the shield – no glue required
  • Perfect fit for standard keys with a 23 mm wide head

📌 Recommendations

  • Make sure the key is oriented so that the blade aligns with the pommel.
  • You may need to apply light pressure to fully insert the pommel.
  • Use glue stick or other bed adhesion aid on the print bed for better first layer grip.

💡 All pommels and shields are separate files so you can mix and match for custom combos.
