UPDATE : 23.09.2025

New print profile with upscaled version.

UPDATE :

New print profile containing part nr 23 and 24 without  “Whiskey” on the banner. This so that you can add your own text or svg.

You can do this in bambu studio. Please read the description on the print profile for instructions on how to do it.

Show of your whiskey in style!

I designed this display box to give my whisky bottles a special place in my home bar. It’s fully 3D-printed, has multi-level magnet doors, and the base can hold a led puck to light up the bottle. I thought other makers might enjoy printing one too, so I’m sharing the files along with a detailed assembly guide, numbered parts diagram, and a GIF showing how it all comes together.

Highlights

  • 45 3D printed parts
  • Multi-level magnet doors
  • LED-ready base
  • Inner dimensions: 87 × 87 mm × 285 mm  BIG BOX : 126 x 126 x 284mm
  • Print time: ~24–26 h, filament ~640–680 g
  • Not scalable – holes for rods and magnets are fixed
  • Detailed assembly guide included below, with numbered parts and a GIF

Parts

The full box is made of 45 3D printed parts:

  • 13 × Left door pieces
  • 13 × Right door pieces
  • 13 × Back wall pieces
  • 1 × Top part
  • 1 × Base
  • 2 × Door knobs
  • 2 x Pins for top two door parts

Additional hardware:

  • 2 × Ø6 mm steel or aluminum rods, 300 mm long   BIG BOX :  2x Ø10mm x 305mm

Assembly Guide

A detailed assembly guide is provided further down, including:

  • GIF showing full assembly
  • Numbered parts diagram to make placement easy
  • Step-by-step instructions to insert rods, back walls, doors, top, knobs, and magnets

Dimensions

  • Inner space: 87 × 87 mm, 285 mm height   BIG BOX : 126 x 126 x 284mm
  • Fits bottles up to ~85 mm Ø × 285 mm

Print recommendations

  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm
  • Layer height: 0.2 mm
  • Infill: 10% gyroid
  • Supports: Required for some parts

Print stats:

  • Bambu P1-X1: ~680 g filament, ~26 h print time
  • H2D: ~640 g filament, ~24 h print time

Important notes

  • Magnet polarity: Check polarity before gluing so the doors attract and stay closed.
  • Rod choice: Steel adds stability/weight; aluminum is lighter.

Scaling

⚠️ Not scalable. The design has dimension-specific holes for Ø6 mm rods and 6×2 mm magnets. Print at 100% to ensure proper fit.
