IKEA Billy Corner fitting bracket
Print Profile(1)

Description
If you're creating a corner setup with IKEA Billy bookcases using the official corner fittings (part number 401.041.09), you may have noticed a problem: the backs of the cabinets can still slide. This is especially an issue when the bookcases aren't placed flush against a wall.
This simple but effective bracket is designed to completely solve that issue. It mounts on top of the bookcases, creating a rigid second point of contact that locks them in place and prevents any unwanted rotation. It provides the stability that the original hardware is missing.
⭐ Important Note: Improved Design!
The 3D model you are downloading here is an improved version of the one shown in my photos. During testing, I discovered that the original design with the oval-shaped slot didn't provide enough grip, and the cabinets could still shift slightly. The final, uploaded design has been modified to ensure a much more secure and rigid connection. You are getting the perfected version!
Requirements
This bracket is an add-on. You will still need the official IKEA corner hardware (article number 401.041.09) to connect the front of the bookcases.
Printing Advice
I printed mine in PETG-CF for maximum rigidity, and it works perfectly. However, given the nature of the forces, a print in standard PETG or even PLA should be more than strong enough for the job.
