ROG RX Optical Switch to Cross-Stem Conversion

Recently my Dragon Knight 2nd generation battery swelled, so I was thinking of changing the optical switches to cross-stem switches while I was at itonly low-profile optical switch adapters are available online and buying a set would cost over a hundred so I thought it would be better to model one myself

I tried four or five versions combining designs from other people's cross-stem models online and made this version

However the adapter is tighter compared to the switch and keycap which means if I need to change keycaps later I'll need a disassembly tool to help remove the adapter but overall it's still very secure

Just like online you have to disassemble the switch and remove the light guide post before installation

2025-8-23: The latest version has been changed to a no supports version and the cylinder diameter has been reduced simultaneously(changed to 5.6mm)thereby increasing the structural support strength for the keycap but excessive forceful use of the cross-stem already carries a risk of breakage Printing supports default parameters for 0.4 and 0.2 0.2 print has almost no defects 0.4 has a certain defect rate due to seam issues
