Fractured Monolith Lamp

A mysterious black monolith, split open to reveal a radiant core of light.
This design blends minimalist geometry with futuristic sci-fi energy, making it both a decorative art piece and an ambient lamp.

Printed in three parts:

  • Two matte black PLA blocks forming the fractured shell
  • One inner tube in translucent blue PLA to diffuse the light

The lighting is powered by the Bambu Lab KC007 module, offering multiple RGB modes.

👉 Advantage: you can press the top of the monolith to manually switch modes, or use the remote control for additional light programs.

Perfect as modern home decor, a futuristic desk lamp, or a unique conversation piece.

🔹 Enhanced Dual-Light Profile

For those who want twice the light output, an improved print profile is included.
This version allows you to install two Bambu Lab KC007 light modules:

  • One in the base, as in the standard model
  • A second one in the upper suspended rock section

👉 The result is a brighter and more immersive glow, with illumination coming from both ends of the fractured monolith.

“Tip: with a KC007 in each rock block (top and bottom – see ‘two light’ print profile), using the smooth mode via the remote control, you get a very nice two-tone halo effect in the rendering.”

⚙️ Printing Parameters

🔹 Translucent Core (blue PLA)

  • Walls:
    • Wall count = 1
  • Top / Bottom Surfaces:
    • Top layers = 0
    • Bottom layers = 0
  • Infill:
    • Density = 100 %
    • Pattern = Concentric
  • Advanced:
    • Infill / wall overlap = 15 %
    • Infill angle = 45°
    • Minimum infill area = 15 mm²
    • Detect narrow solid infill = Enabled
  • Other:
    • Ensure vertical shell thickness = Enabled
    • Detect floating vertical walls = Enabled

👉 Result: a smooth glowing halo, with uniform light diffusion thanks to concentric infill and no top/bottom layers.

🔹 Fractured Shell (matte black PLA)

  • Same settings as above, except:
    • Infill density = 10 % (instead of 100 %)

👉 Result: lighter, faster to print, still strong enough since the interior is not visible.
