Description

I've uploaded a v2 model which can be printed on larger bed printers (1455230-zx-spectrum-2a-b-replacement-case-v2)

Replacement case for the ZX Spectrum +2A/B (Amstrad black model). Case is narrower than the original due to the tape drive not being there but all other dimensions are the same and ports accessible.

I designed this as I had an old +2A with a smashed up case and non-working tape drive that I wanted to use with a 3eMMC. I have added a hole for a 3.5mm jack so tape loading is still supported, just connect this to the LINE in of the original tape plug. All other ports are there including the on LED, joysticks, reset etc... see the photos.

*Added v2 versions of the case which fixes a few issues with the original including adding a logo on the top. I'd recommend printing the top parts flat which does require a lot of support but the finish is a lot nicer. Bottom part with _cf adds support for the CF card that comes with an internal IDE interface (see photo)

  • +2sidebottom_v2.stl &  +2sidebottom_2_v2.stl -> join these for the bottom of the case if no IDE interface
  • +2sidebottom_v2_cf.stl &  +2sidebottom_2_v2.stl -> join these for the bottom of the case with IDE interface
  • +2sidetop_v2.stl & +2sidetop_2_v2.stl -> join these for the top
  • +2sidetop_thelogo.stl & +2sidetop_2_thelogo.stl -> logos for each top piece, add these with the other parts in your slicer
