Tree Stump Caliper Stand
Print Profile(2)

Bill of Materials
Description
I've always thought my digital caliper resembled a pickaxe or hatchet… so I created a Tree Stump Caliper Stand.
This stand was originally designed to fit my caliper which has an outside jaw thickness of 4mm.
For better fitment with popular caliper models, I have also included a print profile for brands like Mitutoyo which have a slightly narrower outside jaw thickness of 3.5mm.

If you are using other brands of calipers with different outside jaw thickness, make sure to measure it beforehand and resize the model accordingly.
The stand has a wide base and is designed so that the caliper sits balanced in the holder slot, hence it is quite stable without requiring extra weight at the bottom of the base.
But if you still prefer a steadier base, consider sticking flat metal weights to the bottom, or perhaps attaching double sided mounting tape to secure it on to your desk.
The example is printed with Bambu Lab PLA Basic Brown.
Important Note: If you want to add "fuzzy skin" settings to the model in Bambu Studio, be aware that the holding slot will tend to become even narrower due to the fuzzy surfaces, so you may have to resize the model accordingly too.
If you enjoy this design, do give a like (or even a boost). Thank you!
