Description

This mold is designed to make up to 9 25mm X 58mm X 86mm (approx. 1" X 2 ¼" X 3 ¼") bars. The perfect size for mediaman3d's drying rack.

I had this model posted before, but when printed with PLA, the soap was really hard to remove. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to unmold it.

I printed it a second time, but used TPU for the sides instead (use PLA for the base and clips). The flexibility makes it much easier to unmold, and I highly recommend using TPU filament. Be sure to print the sides one per plate to avoid TPU's stringing.

If printed with PLA, the clips are extremely tight when you first use it, but they do loosen up to a snug fit pretty quickly and will be much easier to install and remove. You will want to coat the rails for the clips with soap or PAM non-stick spray the first few times and be ready to fight them to get them off. The coating isn't necessary if the sides are printed with TPU.

Be sure to check out the matching Soap Pattern Kit that goes with this mold.
