This is the first model I've made like this. I learned a lot making this, and would love to apply that to a second version. Boosting me would enable me to get the materials I need to help support further creation. Thank you for your consideration!!
Just got back from 3 different HomeGoods/HomeSense and may need a second mortgage to finance all the crystals and geodes the misses wanted. As we all do, I thought “could I make that?”. The answer was a resounding “sorta”.
I used Fusion360 and played around with the new texturing tools. Learned a ton in doing so, and eventually I'd like to tackle another version of this.
I separated the model into 3 parts so anyone without an AMS or multi-nozzle setup can make it. NO SUPPORTS NEEDED FOR ANYTHING. Tolerances are loose to avoid issues using multiple different materials. Ideally I'd use clear purple PETG for the center, either a clear PETG or pearlescent white for the middle, and a dark stone marble for the outside. This is just what I had, I still think it looks good.
