Description

A fixture on a magnetic base to hold a full-size ATX power supply. For securing the PSU to a rack shelf or inside an enclosure that lacks the necessary mounting holes.

Features

  • By default, the model is designed for a 140mm long PSU and 10x5 disc magnets, but those parameters can be changed as you like.
  • Matching the holes to the magnets' exact dimensions (e.g., d=10mm, h=5mm) makes for good friction fit, no glue required.
  • The screw openings are slot-shaped, as many PSUs on the market have slightly off-spec screw hole placement.
  • The provided print profile uses support interface material. Although supports aren't necessary, when printing without those you might want to increase the depth of the magnet holes to account for bridge sag.

Bill of materials

  • 5 x disc neodymium magnets (N52 alloy recommended), d=10mm, h=5mm by default.
  • 2 x #6-32 UNC thumb screws (L=16mm).
