TRIXIG Tape Measure Cover – Make your IKEA buy truly yours!

Picked up the IKEA TRIXIG tape measure? Smart move! At that price, it’s already unbeatable – and with this 3D-printed cover you can make it uniquely yours. With a cover in your faction colors or icon, your TRIXIG will look almost as epic as your painted minis lined up for battle.

Customization & Assembly

Since Bambu Studio v1.4.0.16 you can add your own .svg files directly onto 3D models – which means you can easily customize this cover with your personal logo or icon. I’ve kept the design neutral on purpose so there are no copyright or trademark issues with my initial design – the look is entirely up to you.

To make life easier, I’ll also provide a step-by-step assembly guide as a PDF in two languages. Check the files section to download it and follow along.

As always: I take no responsibility or liability for what you do with your IKEA tape measure. But if all goes well, you’ll end up with a slick, personalized tool that nobody else at the gaming table has.

💡Logos and Symbols:
I've uploaded a .zip where you can find .svg from the grimdark universe.

There are two versions available:

🔹 Version with TPU (recommended)

• Can only be printed with an AMS, since TPU parts are integrated during printing.
• After printing, glue two small TPU strips onto the clamp (a drop of superglue will do).
• Benefit: stronger clamping force.

🔹 Version without TPU (for those who prefer plug & play)

• Prints in one go, no AMS required.
• The clamping force is a bit weaker than the TPU version, but it still works.
• Super simple, no fuss.

⚠️ Important note for both versions:
To get your tape measure to retract properly, you’ll need to disassemble the TRIXIG and rewind the spring. Only attempt it if you’re confident.
