💡 Support my work! Your boosts and likes motivate me to continue developing this project, as I work on it in my free time
Boost Me (for free)
Developing this gunstock takes a lot of time and requires numerous tests, failed attempts, materials, and personal funds
I make these files publicly available and allow non-commercial use for anyone who wants to make this gunstock for themselves
Therefore, your support with BOOSTs on MakerWorld is very important to me
I can use BOOSTs to get filament and materials needed for further development and testing of new versions
Membership
💼 Commercial Use If you want to manufacture this gunstock commercially, I plan to add a commercial subscription. With an active subscription, you will gain the right to legally sell my models while also supporting me as a developer. You can also purchase a commercial subscription simply for support
Keep track of versions if you downloaded an old one I advise you to update
Version 2.25 – Mechanical Improvements 🎯
Version 2.2 – Mechanical Improvements 🎯
In this update, the main focus is on stability, rigidity, versatility, and simplified assembly:
- A version with non-adjustable controller receivers has been added.
They do not allow for adjustment but provide simpler assembly, higher structural rigidity, and minimal play. This option is suitable for users who do not require adjustment and prefer maximum stability🎯 - The bipod mount has been converted to the Picatinny rail standard.
Now the bipod mount is a geometric copy of the Picatinny rail, making the system more versatile. In theory, this allows real bipods to be installed on the gunstock - Tolerances in the key connecting element have been adjusted to reduce play and make the structure more stable
- Tolerances on the adjusting nuts have been reduced, eliminating unwanted play and making the fixation more rigid
- Tolerances on the latch have been slightly changed for a clearer, more stable, and predictable fixation
I'm adding a video on assembling the adjustable controller holders, as there are often questions about how to assemble them.

- I'm adding an animation of the main functionality.

As a result, the design has become denser, more rigid, more stable, and more versatile in use, without complicating assembly or losing functionality
🐀Version 2.0 – Bipod Addition & Mechanical Improvements
This update is — officially for those who have decided to become the biggest rat on the entire server
Now you no longer need to run around, fuss, or pretend to play “fair”.
Just sit on the floor, place a drink, chips, or pizza next to you, deploy the bipod —
and start methodically ruining everyone's life around you, shooting from some hill, bushes, or the most ridiculous spot
You are not a camper.
You are a tactical specialist of stationary chaos
This update will not make you a better person.
But it will definitely make you more stable
🔧 Project Description
This gunstock is designed as a modular, mechanically reliable platform for Meta Quest 2-3 with possibilities for further upgrades.
The main focus is on structural rigidity, reduced play, ergonomics, and ease of user customization
The design is constantly being refined based on practical use, tests, and real-world load
🔩 What's new in Version 2.0
New bipod module
In this version, bipods are added for the first time.
They feature a foldable design and telescopic legs, providing stable support and height adjustmentThe bipods are quick-release — they can be removed or installed with two fingers, without tools.
This can even be done without removing VR goggles.
If you don't need the bipods, they can be easily removed entirely- Improved controller holders
The two-axis rotation functionality for controllers existed previously, but in this version, the design has been completely overhauled:
reduced play, increased rigidity, and overall reliability of the components - Two-axis hinges with ratchet fixation
Allow precise adjustment of controller positions and secure fixation during use Picatinny rail integration (bottom placement)
A Picatinny rail, located at the bottom, in the adjustable stock area, has been added to the designIt is intended for installing additional modules, including:
- a future weight module, which allows simulating the weight of a real weapon;
- a future recoil simulation module, which is planned for development and will be installed precisely on this rail
The Picatinny rail is part of the concept for further development of the design, not a decorative element
- Reinforced adjustable cheek rest
The cheek rest design has been reworked with an emphasis on strength, stability, and durability
🧩 Files and CAD Compatibility
Along with the models, a STEP file is provided, ensuring compatibility with various CAD systems
(Fusion 360, FreeCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, Onshape, and others)
This allows:
- adapting the design to your own needs;
- changing tolerances;
- integrating the model into your own projects regardless of the CAD platform.Update

V1.2: “CheekRaiser” — for true VR battlefield snipers 🥽🔫
An update for everyone who loves quietly lying in the bushes, but with comfort 😏
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
The Tactical Gunstock is under development. I work on it in my free time, so new design elements will appear gradually. The plans include adding a recoil simulation module and improving existing mechanisms
The initial idea of the project is military training in VR. The Gunstock is developed to simulate weapon handling in safe conditions:
- suitable for inexperienced individuals who are not yet safely entrusted with real weapons;
- allows practicing tasks of shooting down enemy orc drones with a pump-action shotgun
That is why the main focus is on customization and matching the dimensions of real weapons
🔧 Design Features:
- Full adjustability — length, height, and angle are set to ensure the gunstock closely matches the dimensions of real weapons;
- Modular assembly — components are printed separately, easily changed, and upgraded;
- Convenient use without magnets — controllers are inserted manually and held securely;
- Pump-action reload simulation — allows practicing realistic pump-action shotgun movements, including scenarios for shooting down enemy drones;
Compatibility with Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 2 — holders are suitable for both generations of controllers
