Description
To connect a Thru-Wall Skimmer to my above-ground pool, I faced a compatibility issue: the pool featured a 38mm female connection, while the skimmer had a 32mm female outlet. After an extensive search through local stores and online platforms, I couldn’t find a ready-made solution that didn’t involve stacking multiple adapters and reducers—none of which felt reliable or efficient.
I also explored pre-designed 3D printable models but came up empty-handed. So, I decided to design and print my own adapter to bridge the gap.
To ensure a watertight seal, I added a custom TPU gasket to the 32mm side, since the 38mm pool connection already came with a rubber seal. The adapter itself was printed in ASA filament for its durability and resistance to outdoor conditions, though PETG would have been a viable alternative as well.
